Interested in Mentor Coaching?

What is Mentor Coaching?

Mentor coaching helps you develop your skills and confidence as a coach.

Your coaching will be observed and you will be given feedback against a set of competencies.

I work to the ICF’s core competencies.

To become an ICF credentialed coach, you must have at least 10 hours of mentor coaching and you must demonstrate that your coaching meets their core competencies.

Mentor coaching deepens your understanding of these competencies and how to demonstrate competence against them.

MENTOR COACHING REQUIREMENTS

To become an ICF credentialed coach, you must have:

10 hours of Mentor Coaching

Minimum of 3 hours must be one-to-one mentor coaching

Maximum of 7 hours can be group mentor coaching

Taken place over 3 months

WHY DO I OFFER MENTOR COACHING?

I offer mentor coaching to ADHD coaches wanting to become ICF credentialed.

I feel very strongly that ADHD coaching is an essential component of living well with ADHD.

But our uniquely wired brains need - and deserve - highly trained & qualified ADHD specialist coaches.

As an ADHDer myself, I know how important it is that I work with a coach who understands my brain.

But, finding a coach can be overwhelming and a risk.

The coaching market is crowded, there are low barriers to entry, the industry isn’t regulated and there are lots of untrained or unqualified people offering services that wouldn’t meet the ICF’s definition of coaching.

So how do you know who to choose?

I believe that having an ICF credential differentiates coaches.

In December 2023 there were only 52,000 ICF credentialed coaches worldwide - a small proportion of the total size of the coaching market.

If you’re an ICF credentialed coach, you must have demonstrated that your coaching meets specific standards of competency.

Yet for many ADHDers, rejection sensitivity kicks in and many brilliant, highly trained & experienced ADHD coaches fear the credentialing process and never make it past the starting line.

I don’t want that person to be you.

The world needs true ADHD experts and highly qualified & caring coaches.

I want to help more ADHD coaches to become ICF credentialed by providing an ADHD friendly mentor coaching environment that will support you to grow as a coach and become more confident in your coaching practice.
